Hello Blue Wave Swim families!

A few notes from the staff on the first week of morning practices...

- We are still collecting any swim gear you would like to hand down to younger/new swimmers on the team. Look for the Gear Swap box under the bulletin board to donate items.

- Make sure kids have "dry land" practice gear in addition to swimsuits for practice.  (Sneakers, athletic wear, and a towel to lay on if needed)

- Please keep the conversations to a minimum around the pool. Noise level from parent conversations can get loud and makes it difficult for coaches to interact with the swimmers.

- Please refrain from coaching your child during practice. Let the swimmers concentrate on the coaching staff and save your pointers for after practice.

- PLEASE clean up after yourselves at practice.  Lifeguard staff has had to clean common areas after practice and before pool opening. This goes for practices and meets. Leave no trace when you exit the pool area!

- Similarly, there have been issues in the bathrooms after practice.  Please talk with your children about cleaning up after themselves when changing and using the facilities. 

- Lastly, you (and your child) signed a Code of Conduct when registering. We have a ZERO TOLERANCE policy on bullying, name-calling, and aggressive behavior. This will be a team of friendship and encouragement. Any unsportsmanlike behavior will be enforced as per the Code of Conduct. 

It has been a great (although chilly) first week of morning practices!

You have until this FRIDAY June 9 to say if your child(ren) are AVAILABLE or UNAVAILABLE to swim in the meet next Saturday (6/17) at Meadowink (Ed Eyles Relays). 

Not all children who are AVAILABLE will be invited to swim. You will be notified by swim coordinators/coaching staff if you are selected to swim in this invitational event - but we MUST know who is available for the selection!

**MSC swim caps and Rally towels will be sold at practice when a coordinator is present. They are $5 each. We are unable to put these on the swim accounts so please bring cash if you would like one. **
